We have had a very busy and productive summer at the refuge. Our fundraiser in July at Los Pirates was very successful, raising  700 euros for the dogs. Thanks to all who participated in and contributed to this event. Two of our volunteers, Barry and Freda, hosted another fundraising event in September at their home. About 80 people attended, enjoying the evening of good food and music and raising 2100 euros. Many thanks to all who made this event so successful.

Because of these events, we were able to fence the perimeter around the land at the refuge. Our dogs now have a safe and protected area in which to run and play for nearly three hours a day. What a difference it has made for the dogs– and for all the workers!  We plan to host more fundraising events in the future so we can continue to improve the living conditions for the nearly 60 dogs at the refuge.  Stay tuned!
